I actually had no idea that Tupelo, Mississippi was the birthplace of Elvis, but this information became unavoidable immediately upon hitting the main street. Notable features: the hardware store where Elvis bought his first guitar, a really nice community art garden, some kind of sting-related insect that got Maya in the eye-lid.
